Description: We are seeking a volunteer to support the Ten Oaks Project in identifying eligible grants, preparation, writing, and editing of grants, and editing of follow-up reports.
Dates required: ongoing, variable. Approx. 4-6 hours per month, or as much as the volunteer can offer.
Skill set required: strong writing and editing skills, Internet search skills, experience with grant-writing an asset.

Community Development Portfolio
Description: seeking energetic, committed and dynamic volunteers to form the Ten Oaks Project Booth Team. The role of the Booth Team will be to staff tables at events in the city and to talk about the Ten Oaks Project.
Dates required: This is an ongoing role with events happening throughout the year.
Positions available: 4-8
Skill set required: comfortable speaking to individuals about Ten Oaks Project, outgoing, personable, friendly.

Office Support
Description: Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of a non-profit charity? Ever wanted to be part of headquarters (HQ) for an organization that is making a huge difference in the lives of youth from LGBTQ communities? As an HQ Supporter, you'll play a key role in the Ten Oaks Project office by supporting the Executive Director, Board of Directors and Volunteers in making the business run. You'll be involved behind the scenes pulling together spreadsheets and reports, helping to prep Board Retreats, Special Events, Camp Ten Oaks and Project Acorn
Dates required: Ongoing, starting immediately. Busiest season is from February-August
Hours required: Minimum 4hrs/week
How often (frequency): Weekly
Skill set required: Collaborative, positive team player with excellent computer skills (word, excel, powerpoint), attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Positions available: 2-6

IT WizardDescription:
You'll be our IT Wizard on call for IT queries and challenges. What do we do when the computer refuses to print PDFs or allow us to delete a document? What are more affordable options for us to teleconference than using Accuconference? How can we make better use of our existing IT equipment?
Dates required: On-call, flexible.
How often (frequency): As needed. You'll be able to answer the majority of our inquiries by telephone. Typically, we might 3 or 4 inquiries per month.
Hours required: On-call, flexible, approximately 4-6 hours/month.
Skill set required: IT saavy
Positions available: 1
Benefits: Because you have computer talents and you want to give back to the LGBTQ communities. Because you get a kick out of IT, improving systems and finding solutions.
General Help Volunteers
Description: General call out for people interested but who may not know where they fit: ie helping with events, pre-camp help, Camp Cleanser etc.
Dates required: flexible.
Hours required: flexible.
How often (frequency): As needed. To help with camp cleanser in May, pre-camp help,mailing help and event help.
Skill set required: Belief in Ten Oaks mission, flexibility
